What to pack in your hospital bag?

Welcoming your firstborn is one of the joyful moments in life, but it can also be nerve-wracking and stressful. So many questions will pop up in your mind such as which birth method will I follow? What do I need to welcome this baby? Or what do I need to pack in for my hospital bag?

Let's pack your hospital bag with Petit Bear

FOR BABY

  • 2x Onesies (per day)

Petit Bear Bamboo onesies are perfect for welcoming your little one. It has all of the practical features such as built-in mittens to prevent baby scratching themselves, built-in foot cuffs for extra warmth, 2-way zip for easy access to nappy change, and is made from eco-friendly bamboo viscose. Bamboo is an extra breathable material that is perfect for a baby’s sensitive skin!

  • 2x Singlets (per day)

It is a good idea to pack some singlets as newborn babies need to be kept warm during the colder season. However, it is also important that your baby does not overheat, especially during sleep.

  • 1x Swaddle
Swaddling can help to calm a baby as it recreates the restricted space in the womb. Swaddling will keep babies sleeping on their back which can help to reduce incidence of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS).
Our Swaddle is also made from eco-friendly bamboo viscose and it is perfect for newborns with sensitive skin. Our versatile swaddle is 120x120 CM and can also be used for a breastfeeding cover.
  • 1x Blanket

Pack an extra blanket especially during colder season.

  • Nappies and baby wipes

Some hospitals provide nappies and wipes for a newborn, but it is a good idea to pack some in your bag. Normally newborns need to be changed 10-12 times daily.

  • 1x Beanie

Our knot beanie would be perfect to keep your baby warm, and looks great in those first photos for the album. This beanie can be adjusted by the knot for a better fit.

  • Socks

It is very important to keep your baby’s feet warm when they are not wearing a onesie. But socks can also be worn with the onesie for extra warmth.

  • Mittens

Hand mittens are important not only to keep them warm but also to keep them from scratching themselves. Especially when they are not wearing the onesie.

  • Bibs

Perfect to use for cleaning up spills during feeding.

  • 2x Wash Cloth and 1x baby towel
